New Patient Information:

Making your first call to the office:

Back At Your Best Waiting RoomThank you for calling our office to set up your appointment. Hopefully you found our staff that answered your call friendly and knowledgeable. Patients are generally seen by appointments only, but we usually can accommodate same day appointments.

Like any doctors office we will need to collect some information from you before we get you set up for your appointment and into the computer system. Try to save any medical questions for the doctor as the person answering your call will probably not be a doctor, so they aren’t qualified to give you advice. Dr. Lipoff will be happy to answer any questions you have.

The staff will be able to answer any of your questions about your insurance information and help you to schedule an appointment at a time suitable to you. Your name and a contact phone number will be important in our communication with you in case we get disconnected or our schedule changes and we need to contact you.

What you should bring for your first appointment:
    • Photo ID and a smile. :)

    • Insurance Card, Medicare Card or Case Number if this is related to an Auto or Work injury.

    • Loose clothing or a change of clothing like shorts and a loose shirt. (we do supply gowns for your convenience).

    • Any X-rays, MRI’s CT scans, notes, etc., that will help us get a better picture of your health condition. Plus any referrals if needed.

Your First Visit:

When you first come in you may want to be a little early because you will be given some office paperwork to fill out about your current condition and previous history. This should be minimal because by 2015, all medical offices have to be electronic. We have already made that move. Most likely you will be filling out much of your health information on a computer. Someone will help you if you have any problems and you should always ask a question if you have them. Your records will be safer and it will reduce paper waste in the healthcare industry.

After you complete the forms, you will be taken back to a room where we will take our time to thoroughly evaluate you. A thorough history, physical, orthopedic and neurologic exam are requisite to understanding your signs and symptoms, their origin and the discomfort they are causing you. These will also enable the doctor to arrive at your diagnosis.

In almost all cases the doctor will provide some kind of treatment that day unless there is an immediate need for films first. Dr. Lipoff has been helping patients since 1994 and will provide you with the appropriate treatment using the most modern techniques available to treat your condition. You can see in his testimonial section that doctors and patients alike have complete trust in his abilities.

Your first visit is usually time consuming, 1 to 1 ½ hours is a good approximation of the time you will spend at the initial visit. Follow up visits will differ every time, and will be driven by how your condition responds to treatment and what treatment you are receiving.

At the completion of the evaluation and treatment, the doctor will discuss with you the findings of your condition. He will provide you with information on future care for your condition based upon research and his clinical experience since 1994. You will also be given things to do at home to help us, help you. The more you do your exercises and stretches the greater the likelihood you will feel better quicker.
